Package: angband Version: 1:3.5.1-2 Severity: important Tags: upstream Hi,
Saved the worst till last, sorry. The SDL console mode is seriously buggy. Which is a shame, as it's an improvement over the old ASCII terminal mode. I tend to play angband from a virtual console (e.g. tty1) Firstly, it doesn't tidy up the console when you exit, so you're left with droppings all over the screen, which is pretty ugly. Worse, having ssh'd in from another machine to play angband, I notice two further bugs: Sometimes I get home to find my home machine's display in a very odd state (the X cursor, attached to the mouse, is visible, though the underlying display is one of the text consoles; when I switch into X things sort themselves out). And now I can't use SDL console at all, and when I try to from a tty, I get an error message that flashes past "Couldn't initialize SDL: Unable to open a console terminal" I think.
