Hi,

Please consider updating the French translation of util-linux, for which
I’m the “official” translator. There has been a few new strings since
the last update for 2.25.1 (upstream didn’t call for translation since).

If you wish, I can also coordinate a short call for translation update
in order to gather more up to date translations for Jessie life time.
Since this process will take some time (about two weeks), please, let me
know as soon as possible if you wish me to go this road.

Please note that even if the current version of the freeze policy is not
clear about accepting translation updates currently, they actually are
and the wording is being sorted out (https://bugs.debian.org/769170#42).

I’ll follow up with a proposed Git patch series, that ensure (all)
translations gets regenerated at build time. An alternative could be to
add a binary patch for the .gmo files too (I believe that’s uglier, but
if you prefer to minimize the changes, I can propose an updated patch
series).

Please note that I’d prefer a maintainer upload (to make sure that
everything is OK, and ensure the patches won’t go away in the next
upload), but I’m fine with NMUing or (team joining and) team uploading
it too: what I wish is to handle such translation update rather sooner
than later since they won’t be allowed during the whole freeze
(especially for packages producing udebs). I’m happy to take care of the
unblock with the release team too.

Regards

David
