Package: needrestart
Version: 1.1-1
Severity: important

Hi,

I recently discovered needrestart via a [email protected] thread and
thus gave it a try.

The debconf UI is currently untranslatable, and thus untranslated,
that’s something that should be fixed IMHO if needrestart was to be more
widely advised. It also defacto violates policy 3.9.1:

Packages which use the Debian Configuration Management Specification
must allow for translation of their user-visible messages by using a
gettext-based system such as the one provided by the po-debconf
   package.

Regards

David

-- Package-specific info:
needrestart output:
Pending kernel upgrade!

Running kernel version:
  3.16-trunk-amd64

Diagnostics:
The currently running kernel version is not the expected kernel version
3.16-1-amd64.

Restarting the system to load the new kernel will not be handled automatically,
so you should consider rebooting. [Return]
