ok, i'm not a DD and hence am not familiar with the Debian policy. 
sorry for mistakenly reporting a problem beyond my expertise level. 
if this is what the policy states, then it's all good.  and now i
know, so i won't report something like this again ;-)

my bad.  i haven't been reading resolved bug reports before filing
because i figured that it would be unlikely that there would be a fix
in place before i notice the bug.  i will make sure to do this from
now on.

anyway, thanks for your hard work on this program.  i like it a lot.
