Package: backintime
Version: 1.0.10-1
Severity: important

backintime failed:

erdos:~ $ backintime --backup-job
[...]
ERROR: Failed to take snapshot !!!
INFO: [UserCallbackPlugin.notify_callback] 2
INFO: Unlock
erdos:~ $ echo $?
0

Oops. So I wasn't told about this by cron, and I didn't notice that I
hadn't had any backups for a month. Now I'll go investigate the cause
of the failure, but there should have been a non-zero return state.

This, of course, may have been fixed in a later version. If it's
easy, I'll look into doing an NMU if that is of help to you and the
general community.

   Julian
