Looking at https://code.google.com/p/ardesia/issues/detail?id=60
or https://code.google.com/p/ardesia/issues/detail?id=57 or even https://code.google.com/p/ardesia/issues/detail?id=44 I can replicate all of them on jessie (amd64) with the standard GNOME3 setup (intel HD4000). I'd say ardesia in its current upstream shape is not fit for a release. I tried both the upstream .debs for 1.1 and 1.0, as well as the official Debian package -- same behavior.
