Unfortunately, as I've just mentioned in the openldap report, a binNMU isn't a great solution here. libldap is flagged as "Multi-Arch: same", which means that binNMUing it on amd64 will make it non-coinstallable with the package from other architectures. The package will need a source upload, built correctly.
(As an aisde, it generally helps if you provide more context in the bug report than just the nmu command.)
