Hi,

during a test with piuparts I noticed your package failed to install. As
per definition of the release team this makes the package too buggy for
a release, thus the severity.

>From the attached log (scroll to the bottom...):

  Selecting previously unselected package dpm-name-server-mysql.
(Reading database ... 8670 files and directories currently installed.)
  Unpacking dpm-name-server-mysql (from
.../dpm-name-server-mysql_1.8.6-2_amd64.deb) ...
  Setting up dpm-name-server-mysql (1.8.6-2) ...
adduser: Warning: The home directory `/var/lib/dpm' does not belong to the
user you are currently creating.
  update-alternatives: using /usr/lib/dpm-mysql/dpnsdaemon to provide
/usr/sbin/dpnsdaemon (dpnsdaemon) in auto mode
update-alternatives: error: error creating symbolic link
`/usr/share/dpm/DPNSCONFIG.templ.dpkg-tmp': No such file or directory
  dpkg: error processing dpm-name-server-mysql (--configure):
subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 2
  Errors were encountered while processing:
   dpm-name-server-mysql

/usr/share/dpm is missing. Either the package needs a Depends: on some
package that ships that directory or every package using alternatives
needs to ship this as an empty directory.
update-alternatives does not create missing directories to place
symlinks in there.
*Don't* mkdir this in the maintainer script, but ship this empty and let
dpkg care for creation/removal.

This bug is found in several binary packages built from src:lcgdm, see
the Affects list.

cheers,

Andreas
