How to reproduce: 1. Should be installed: 1.1. KDE, but without "kdebase-data" 1.2. Other DEs probably should not be installed (I tested on system which had not Gnome etc) 1.3. chromium-browser 2. Open Chromium, Options -> Under the Hood -> Network -> Change proxy settings What is expected: I expected proxy settings window to appear What I really saw: Nothing. This button has no effect. Also Chromium printed the following to stdout (or stderr): kcmshell(16692)/kdecore (services) KServiceFactory::findServiceByDesktopPath: "proxy.desktop" not found kcmshell(16692) locateModule: Could not find module ' "proxy" '. -- But when I installed kdebase-data, this bug disappeared. So, in fact, Chromium depends on kdebase-data package. Of course, on other DEs it would depend on other packages. So, please, determine dependencies on other DEs and add dependency: something like, say, "kdebase-data | gnomebase-data | ...". Now, when I press "Change proxy settings", I see window with proxy settings. But this window says to me: Could not find plugin 'Proxy' for application 'kcmshell'Library "kcm_kio" not found So, there is some other package which is not installed on my system (my system contains very minimal KDE system without some usual KDE packages). And Chromium depends on this package, too. Please, determine this package and make it dependecy of Chromium.
