Lowering the severity to "normal" as in "don't know how severe this is". With the info I have so far it could have been just a temporary network problem. > Yesterday I upgraded flashplugin-nonfree from 2.8.5 to 3.1, and now flash > enabled > sites don't work anymore. There's some info about using a proxy here: http://wiki.debian.org/FlashPlayer#Troubleshooting Does it happen again if you do this ? apt-get --purge remove flashplugin-nonfree apt-get install flashplugin-nonfree > > If I ran > paul@wollumbin ~ $ wget > http://people.debian.org/~bartm/flashplugin-nonfree/get-upstream-version.pl.gz.pgp > manually, it works. If I run > paul@wollumbin ~ $ sudo update-flashplugin-nonfree --install > it works, but I think the upgrade should "just work". I agree that it should "just work", but we can't fix temporary network problems, and note that postinst uses option --fast, so sometimes it may not work with "apt-get install flashplugin-nonfree" and while it works with "update-flashplugin-nonfree --install".
