Package: postfix Version: 2.1.5-4 Severity: grave Justification: renders package unusable
I did a satellite install (as shown in the debconf information below). The postinst script then installed /usr/share/postfix/master.cf.local as /etc/postfix/master.conf. This file contains this line: > sed -ne 81p /usr/share/postfix/master.cf.local ::1:smtp inet n - - - - smtpd This caused postfix not to start: Jan 24 19:33:44 ayer postfix/postfix-script: starting the Postfix mail system Jan 24 19:33:45 ayer postfix/master[2382]: fatal: /etc/postfix/master.cf: line 84: bad hostname or network address: ::1 Commenting out the line makes it work fine. If I 'insmod ipv6', then the line works, too, but I shouldn't have to install the ipv6 kernel module for postfix to work.
