This problem appears to be fixed when using freebsd-net-tools 10.0-2 or later (but NOT 10.0-1, whose ifconfig is badly broken!). Please can you confirm this works for you, too? In the meantime I'll update the dependency in kfreebsd-11, but it'd still be useful if you can confirm the problem is fixed. IMPORTANT: when checking if the problem is fixed, be aware that it might not be reproducible with all cards. I've consistently reproduced success when using freebsd-net-tools 10.0-2 / kfreebsd-11 on a computer with "msk" driver, and failure when using freebsd-net-tools 9.2 on the same card.
