When I run "reporbug aptitude" as david, I get: Your version (0.6.3-4) of aptitude appears to be out of date. The following newer release(s) are available in the Debian archive: stable: 0.6.4-1 unstable: 0.6.4-1
I am trying to see if a bug report exists for aptitude, but all I'm getting is the above. I understand sid having a newer version than wheezy but why would reportbug report that squeeze has a newer version? You will need the whole release file, but you will only need to install packages from sid that are required to meet the dependencies of aptitude.
