For the moment I'd prefer to keep it for some time in testing and see how it works for everyone before adding it to the desktop task, even though it works quite well now for me and for other people I've asked to try it, it needs more beta-testing before adding it as default for desktop. Another point of concern is that it is not really a lightweight plugin (not that the proprietary plugin is either, anyway).
