Hi, To put a finger on it: Debian-Version: Sarge-Snapshot 03.Jan.2005 Hardware: DELL PowerEdge 1850 with a PERC 4E/Si RAID Controller Problem: After Installation, System tries to boot with megaraid.o instead of megaraid2.o
During installation everything works fine. But after reboot, the System hangs when it comes to load the RAID-driver. It tries to load the megaraid.o instead of megaraid2.o. So I looked into the initrd of the installed system: There is a file named laodmodules, where all the modprobe-stuff for booting the system is done. There is a entry for loading the megaraid.o but no entry for the megaraid2.o So I guess it is a problem of the installer and not of the megaraid-driver itself. Hope to find a solution soon, because I have to setup a bunch of server :) Best regards, Ralf Matulat
