(see report 239943) It took me 4 a= ttempts before i had a good installation. The first one resulted in a wrong kernel version and an "unbootable system" The second one resulted is a "Dependencies errors prevent configuration of = exim4-base" error. The third one the same error.=20 Before i begane at the fourth attempt i did the following routine: Flushed the master-boot record, created a fat partition on the disk. (just = to be sure it was emty) Boot from the 100 Mb Debian netinstall cd-rom system, instead of the business-card cd.=20 Removed the fat partition and created some etx3 partitions. Did the base-install from cd-rom this time. System is up and running :) Regards, Michel van der Klei --=-MTiZ/Njx0Ehfpm0dax6Z Content-Type: application/pgp-signature; name=signature.asc Content-Description: This is a digitally signed message part -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.4 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQBAYkfoD0Uhhw+kquIRArs+AJ9KjKIeTGAA57+VAhEFqYYHKWwOZACfWuzS pdeSRQytEUU5+8sjk2seGZk= =nhZu -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --=-MTiZ/Njx0Ehfpm0dax6Z-- --------------------------------------- Received: (at 239966-done) by bugs.debian.org; 14 Oct 2004 20:41:10 +0000 >From [EMAIL PROTECTED] Thu Oct 14 13:41:10 2004 Return-path: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Received: from kitenet.net [64.62.161.42] (postfix) by spohr.debian.org with esmtp (Exim 3.35 1 (Debian)) id 1CICPO-0007LE-00; Thu, 14 Oct 2004 13:41:10 -0700 Received: from dragon.kitenet.net (unknown [66.168.94.144]) (using TLSv1 with cipher DHE-RSA-AES256-SHA (256/256 bits)) (Client CN "Joey Hess", Issuer "Joey Hess" (verified OK)) by kitenet.net (Postfix) with ESMTP id F361F17F1E for <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>; Thu, 14 Oct 2004 17:53:53 +0000 (GMT) Received: by dragon.kitenet.net (Postfix, from userid 1000) id 33EEC6E111; Thu, 14 Oct 2004 13:55:22 -0400 (EDT) Date: Thu, 14 Oct 2004 13:55:21 -0400 From: Joey Hess <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: Bug#239966: about your Debian installation report Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> References: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: multipart/signed; micalg=pgp-sha1; protocol="application/pgp-signature"; boundary="IJpNTDwzlM2Ie8A6" Content-Disposition: inline In-Reply-To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> User-Agent: Mutt/1.5.6+20040907i Delivered-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] X-Spam-Checker-Version: SpamAssassin 2.60-bugs.debian.org_2004_03_25 (1.212-2003-09-23-exp) on spohr.debian.org X-Spam-Status: No, hits=-6.0 required=4.0 tests=BAYES_00,HAS_BUG_NUMBER autolearn=no version=2.60-bugs.debian.org_2004_03_25 X-Spam-Level: --IJpNTDwzlM2Ie8A6 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Disposition: inline Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable Looking at the report, it's unlikely any of those problems persist.
