Package: installation-reports Version: sarge installer: No PPPoE offered during network setup Severity: important
Hello I've just done a debian network install for a system connected to internet with PPPoE and ADSL. The installation went fine (great installer!) except for the network setting part (just before apt configuration). The only choice offered were direct ethernet or PPP over serial line. The installer does not clearly state that choosing ppp will try to set up ppp over serial line instead of ppp over ethernet, so it's easy to get confused. The installer should also offer a PPPoE choice which would call pppoeconf. I had to launch a shell and call pppoeconf, which worked without a problem.
