Thanks for folllowing up on this. > arch linux-kernel-di build/config rootskel base-installer > i386 2.4.27/2.6.8 2.4.27/2.6.8/2.4.26 [1] 2.4.26/2.6.7 [6] > alpha 2.4.27 2.4.26 [2] 2.4.26 > amd64 2.6.8 2.6.8 > arm 2.4.27 2.4.27 > hppa 2.4.25 [3] 2.4.25 [3] 2.4.20 [7] 2.4.26 [10] > ia64 2.4.27/2.6.8 2.4.27/2.6.8 2.4.25 [8] > m68k 2.2.25/2.4.27 2.2.25/2.4.26 [4] > mips 2.4.27 2.4.27 > mipsel 2.4.27 2.4.27 > powerpc 2.4.27/2.6.8 2.4.27/2.6.8 2.4.25/2.6.7 > [11] Mmm, i suppose we need a base-installer modification here, right ? > apus 2.4.25 [5] 2.4.25 [5] 2.4.25 Well, the apus kernel doesn't boot on Simon's apus hardware, which is the only one who tested this, but i will see if i wipe up a 2.4.27 kernel for apus. The apus patches in the apus CVS are upto 2.4.26 only though. > s390 2.4.27 2.4.27 2.4.21 [9] > sparc 2.4.27/2.6.8 2.4.27 So, basically, as far as only kernels are concerned : 2.4.25 still present on : hppa, partly m68k and powerpc/apus. Apus has no 2.4.27 kernels in the archive, but as far as i am concerned, we can just drop it and solve this issue. I will try to do a 2.4.27 kernel though, for completeness, and because i haven't lost hope that Simon will be able to fix the issues, which seems more boot-loader related than kernels related. Are there already 2.4.27 hppa kernels .debs in the archive ? And what is the m68k situation with regard to 2.4.27 kernels again in .debs and not .udebs. All in all, i think the situation is less problematic than it feared, at least as far as kernel .debs go.
