Hello, I downloaded the d-i 07 july 2004 version. We have improvements now. The ide-cd, ide-cdrom, ide-isofs were installed. It seems that basic cdrom is working now.
But the other modules were not loaded: ide-mod ide-probe-mod ide-generic ide-floppy ide-scsi I tried expert and expert26 modes. Tried to modprobe and insmode them at second console. Not found all these modules. Were they compiled and included into the iso? I am not sure if without them, the k3b will allow cdrw rewriting or if vlc / kmplayer will play dvd. This LG cdrw/dvd drive sold millions here in Brasil. The newer family versions are selling gazilions units. There is a LG local factory, so they are *much* cheaper than other brands. And these LG drives are reliable and perform well. A best seller family. Most computers are being sold here with them. So it is important to have these drives working flawlessly. Best regards.
