Base System Installation Checklist:
Initial boot worked: [O] Configure network HW: [O] Config network: [O] Detect CD: [O] Load installer modules: [O] Detect hard drives: [O] Partition hard drives: [O] Create file systems: [O] Mount partitions: [O] Install base system: [O] Install boot loader: [O] Reboot: [O] [O] = OK, [E] = Error (please elaborate below), [ ] = didn't try it
Comments/Problems:
The program to partition the hard drive was very intimidating; for example, it wasn't obvious to reformat a partition in use, one hilites it, hits enter, and then proceeds. An instruction on the instruction to choose the partition to have a file system put on it would have help me get through the install faster.
Other than that, however, the install worked very well. I only had to hit next and it installed.
