The US English installation went just fine. First the in the manual partitioning section of the installer "Finish partitioning and write changes to disk" is translated "Keskeyt=E4 osioiden teko (=E4l=E4 tallenna muutoksia)" which means "Interrupt partitioning (don't save changes)" . It should be translated as "Lopeta osioiden muokkaus ja tallenna muutokset". Secondly the configuration of apt does not work. The reason is that the name of the entry in the installation menu is "Tee apt:n asetukset". Because in the menu-mapping file the display text and the corresponding configuration script file are separated with ":", the script file name does not get recognized correctly. solution: change "Tee apt:n asetukset" to "Tee apt asetukset" in files: config.dat menu-mapping After the corrections my installation was succesfull. Great work, besides these small bugs the the beta3 installer is a great improvement :). --------------------------------------- Received: (at 242375-close) by bugs.debian.org; 10 Apr 2004 05:23:16 +0000 >From [EMAIL PROTECTED] Fri Apr 09 22:23:16 2004 Return-path: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Received: from newraff.debian.org [208.185.25.31] (mail) by spohr.debian.org with esmtp (Exim 3.35 1 (Debian)) id 1BCAxX-0004fL-00; Fri, 09 Apr 2004 22:23:15 -0700 Received: from katie by newraff.debian.org with local (Exim 3.35 1 (Debian)) id 1BCArX-0008L7-00; Sat, 10 Apr 2004 01:17:03 -0400 From: Joey Hess <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] X-Katie: $Revision: 1.47 $ Subject: Bug#242375: fixed in base-config 2.18 Message-Id: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sender: Archive Administrator <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Date: Sat, 10 Apr 2004 01:17:03 -0400 Delivered-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] X-Spam-Checker-Version: SpamAssassin 2.60-bugs.debian.org_2004_03_25 (1.212-2003-09-23-exp) on spohr.debian.org X-Spam-Status: No, hits=-4.0 required=4.0 tests=BAYES_00,DATING, HAS_BUG_NUMBER autolearn=no version=2.60-bugs.debian.org_2004_03_25 X-Spam-Level: X-CrossAssassin-Score: 2 Source: base-config Source-Version: 2.18 We believe that the bug you reported is fixed in the latest version of base-config, which is due to be installed in the Debian FTP archive: base-config_2.18.dsc to pool/main/b/base-config/base-config_2.18.dsc base-config_2.18.tar.gz to pool/main/b/base-config/base-config_2.18.tar.gz base-config_2.18_all.deb to pool/main/b/base-config/base-config_2.18_all.deb A summary of the changes between this version and the previous one is attached. Fixes some bad behavior at high debconf priority. - Display a message while updating the available file, for slow machines. - Add the user set up by passwd to a number of supplimental groups. This is a hack. It should be done by passwd with help from adduser, and patches have been written, but not yet applied. - Use commas to separate fields in the mapping file, fixing problems with translations like Greek and Finnish that include colons in menu items. Closes: #242375 - Remove commas from menu items just in case when building the mapping file. * Kenshi Muto - Applied Russian termwrap patch (Closes: Bug#241117) * Christian Perrier - Added quotes around message for available file update - Added comments for translators not to translate "available" - Keep po/base-config.pot in package for helping out translators * Eugeniy Meshcheryakov - Add support of devfs device names to termwrap so that this script can be run after installation. Closes: #242785 - KOI8-U can be handled by console-tools, there is no need for jfbterm.
