I used http://gluck.debian.org/cdimage/testing/daily/i386/20040215/sarge-i386-netinst.iso . My NIC is Realtek 8139. It is correctly detected *but* there is no module 8139too, which really surprised me. debian-installer shows menu to choose what is my NIC, but the menu was empty.
I got drivers floppy image from the CD, and during install I loaded all udeb:s that were there. It makes situation better, but still doesn't fix my problem: In the menu where NIC is choosen, there are many NIC modules, but not 8139too. It's not in /lib/modules/2.4.24*/kernel/drivers/net too.
