Package: debian-installer
Version: 20040126; reported 2004-01-28
Severity: normal

After booting the kernel of sarge-powerpc-netinst.iso downloaded from
http://gluck.debian.org/cdimage/testing/sid_d-i/netinst/powerpc/20040126/
the sound of the Macintosh PowerBook G3 Lombard seems to be turned
on with maximum volume.

Every access to the CD-ROM drive makes crackling noise on the left
speaker.

Is it possible to disable the sound driver using a boot option?
