Hello debian-installer's :-),
I have setup daily images for the HPPA architecture on paer.debian.org. The images creates cdrom, netboot and a lif image from source. As usually everything is available here: http://people.debian.org/~tsauter/d-i/images-hppa/daily/
I hope, we can build daily cdrom images as well.
I have tested the images on the following machine types (always tftpboot via lif image): 9000/712-60 and 9000/712-80.
Please test the images.
Hello,
New to HPPA, I'm trying your image on a 712-60. It seems I missed some steps.
I got the dhcp/tftp boot right, and I can netboot the lif image, but the boot ended with :
Mounted devfs on /dev
ROOT-NFS: No NFS serveur available, giving up.
VFS: Unable to mount root fs via NFS, trying floppy.
VFS: Cannot open root device "rd/0" or 02:00
Please appen a correct "root=" boot option
Kernel panic
I have the following in my dhcpd.conf : host hp712 { hardware ethernet 08:00:09:9d:6e:d0; fixed-address 192.168.1.35; filename "netboot.lif"; option root-path "/dev/ram0"; }
Am I suppose to provide an NFS-root environnement for the boot to succeed (which image to use in this case) ?
