[Petter Reinholdtsen] > because installing locales inserts LANG=C into /etc/environment,
A related issue, and the one triggering this bug report in the first place, is that the debconf version in Sarge is unable to use the C locale with the linux terminal. This can be tested in the linux console, using the following commands: LANG=C TERM=linux dpkg-reconfigure debconf This will show the dialog boxes without border lines. When using vt100 terminal instead, the dialog boxes look just fine. LANG=C TERM=vt100 dpkg-reconfigure debconf This suggests that there is a problem with the dialog frontend and the linux console terminal type. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
