I admit I was pushing too much to a fresh start. Whom ever wants to work on the issue this bugreport is about, probably doesn't need an open bugreport about it. The persoon will need an i386 machine to verify that the i386 image still works fine. And also need an amd64 machine to verify that the i386 image can detect it is on amd64 hardware.
