The above parameters do not launch the installer from the iso here. I am not quite sure what the right arguments are. I wonder if "root=<rootfs_device>" to the kernel will do the trick. I worked around this by using the graphical install and enabling serial output in the installed image but I think this can be made to work out-of-box and we shouldn't need a workaround.
