I found user notes Debian on VBox with EFI enabled environment cannot boot, see http://qiita.com/zakuro9715/items/45e82473ce39914e04ed (in Japanese) I've confirmed it with d-i9 alpha5. And, it doesn't happen with Fedora 24 alpha and Ubuntu 16.04. Step to reproduce: 1. setup Virtualbox VM with EFI enabled 2. install Debian 3. after installation, turn of VM 4. turn on VM again 5. not bootable, startup EFI shell -- System Information: Debian Release: stretch/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 4.4.0-1-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=ja_JP.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=ja_JP.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system)
