Package: debian-installer Version: 7.2 Severity: normal Dear maintainer, I am trying to install debian on a new MSI GE70 20C laptop. After pressing on install the screen becomes black. Trying the latest weekly version -rw-r--r-- 1 tom tom 651165696 Nov 3 15:41 debian-7.2.0-amd64-kde-CD-1.iso -rw-r--r-- 1 tom tom 679477248 Dec 9 11:24 debian-7.2.0-i386-lxde-CD-1.iso from yesterday doesn't help too.
There is no operating system on the laptop. I have looked around and found some ubuntu bug reports: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1249787 [MSI GE70 2OE] Ubuntu 13.10 does not boot divide error: 0000 [#1] SMP Regards Thomas -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-boot-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
