Package: netcfg Version: 1.108 Severity: important User: debian-...@lists.debian.org Usertags: debian-edu
I discovered this while installing Debian Edu Wheezy using PXE and a HTTP proxy from behind a blocking firewall. As can be seen in <URL: http://bugs.debian.org/714274 >, the fix for <URL: http://bugs.debian.org/447071 > introduced in netcfg version 1.40 no longer work. There is no longer any code in netcfg to set the netcfg/dhcp_ntp_servers debconf value, and thus clock-setup do not know the ntp-server setting passed on from the DHCP server. I suspect this code disappeared when the dhcp client code was changed, but am not sure. Please reintroduce it to make sure the correct NTP server is used during installation. Without this code, clock-setup time out without being able to set the correct time, which causes problems with file system creating and kerberos authentication. -- Happy hacking Petter Reinholdtsen -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-boot-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
