i guess i should also mention that i did static IPv4 network configuration (no DHCP), and that there was an IPv6 router on the network interface sending RA's at the time of the install. i don't remember if i looked at the interface config or not in the shell, but it's possible that the network interface picked up an autoconf'd IPv6 address during the install. -- Robert Edmonds edmo...@debian.org
