i believe it crashed.

the machine is pretty cheap, does not have any LED besides power-on,
so i can't even test with num-lock

network is never initalized, so i don't know if it was *that* or
something else that prevents it...

CPU fan spin faster right away when the screen blanks, that's what led
me to believe the machine crashed exactly because of that.

host has no serial port as well.
