Comments/Problems:
I came across three squeeze-di-beta1 issues, and two wish list items.I
will report them in seperate reports.(Issue 1 of 3.)
Using graphical installer:Screen title: Configure the package
manager---The CD or DVD with the following label has been
scanned:Debian GNU/Linux squeeze-di-beta1_Squeeze_-Official Beta i386

please insert it now.Scan another CD or DVD? (Yes)---The CD or DVD
with the following label has been scanned:
If you wish to scan another CD or DVD, please insert it now.Scan
another CD or DVD? (No, as I only have two DVD's to install on
purpose.)---Note: Did you notice that the Binary-2 label was missing
on that last scan screen ? THIS is the issue. The Binary-2 iso image
md5sum was calculated and correct. How do I use the 'Debian Installer
Main Menu' (di-mm) to check the squeeze-di-beta1 Binary-2 DVD on
debian installer's integrity checker. This brings me nicely to my
'Wish List Item, number 1.' for a seperate report.
---However, the tty4 log screen shows to the last entry:

Using:
http://d-i.alioth.debian.org/manual/en.i386/ch05s04.html#submit-bugHaving
read: Debian GNU/Linux Installation Guide 5.4.1.2. How to investigate
and maybe solve issuesIf the CD-ROM fails... etc.
Using a newer/younger machine that created the two DVD set,I seem to
get a long loop, 100% cpu utilisation status, for at least 38 minutes
before I cancel the job using :-Ubuntu Release 8.04 (hardy):~$ sudo dd
if=/dev/cdrom0 | > head -c `stat --format=%s
/home/ben/0-downloads/debian-squeeze-di-beta1-i386/debian-squeeze-di-beta1-i386-DVD-2.iso`
| > md5sumsudo: unable to resolve host ...
Note: The cutting and checksum verification are not processed on the
older target machine, so it does not prove much.I would like to check
the Binary-2 being read on the older target machine.I am beginning to
believe that this MAY be a digression, but it would be nice to
eradicate this 'different drive' scenario option.
On yet another install, (about 9th) it still showed the same symptoms
of; 'No label after the scan of diskette DVD-2'.Diskette Binary-2 was
cut twice, once with Brasero, and once with K3b, Data verified ok,
after being cut. With both cuts, the modulus calculated from the new
cut diskettes MD5SUM was correct;

debian-squeeze-di-beta1-i386-DVD-2.isoYes, the DVD's were cut,
verified and checksummed on a different machine and drive; Pioneer
DVR-110 with updated firmware.
Thanks for any help forthcoming. Yours, ' McTech ' .

.
[ Otavio Salvador ]
* Fix label reporting with recent APT. Closes: #602421.
.
[ Colin Watson ]
* Reinitialise a couple of bits of debconf state after calling
chroot_setup in the cdset generator, otherwise sourcing the confmodule
in load-install-cd gets horribly confused. This spaghetti code needs to
be rewritten after squeeze. Closes: #602421.
