For me lenny installs just fine using the same version of debootstrap. Can you reproduce the problem using the following command: # debootstrap lenny lenny/ http://ftp.nl.debian.org/debian (using your own target dir and mirror) If so, please send the debootstrap log (from the target directory). Can you also reproduce if you use a different mirror?
