They correspond to the variety of keyboards with additional keys. For instance, my "Internet" keyboard has a few navigation keys. I believe that's a bit like the battle between the "legacy" french layout and the "current" french layout: concerning standard keyboards, they are just the same, but they extend it in a different way. > Such problems have to be reported upstream.
