the problem is that i'm getting this error message about /selinux even when selinux package is not installed. there must be something wrong in lenny installation when it complains about a missing directory even when my system is completely up to date, i.e., 'apt-get dist-upgrade' does not install anything. this can be repeated by installing lenny from http://cdimage.debian.org/cdimage/lenny_di_beta2/i386/iso-cd/debian-LennyBeta2-i386-netinst.iso and then by choosing nothing when installation asks about "Choose software to install". some package should have created /selinux at that point, because it is referenced when lenny boots. i was pointed to your base-files package. another option would be to remove that something which references /selinux, but debian folks tell me that that cannot be done. that is why, the directory seems to me to be essential to debian lenny distribution. -- juha -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
