No router. The DSL modem from my telecom (Aliant in NS, Canada) has my pppoe connection information and provides a DHCP server and can be used that way. It will also transparently pass a PPPOE connection through, allowing me to control ports that are not filtered. I have no access to the ports on the DSL modem, just a web interface for entering authentication data. pppoeconf works like a charm, if that is any use. > > > 2.
