That is the wrong syntax. It should be 'modules=ppp-udeb'. And if that's just a typo then I'm afraid "not detected properly" is not really going to help us improve things... Please provide a more detailed description of what was not detected and any errors displayed or visible in the syslog. From your comment "fallback DHCP works" it would seem to me that you do not actually need pppoe and ppp-udeb at all, but that your router provides the translation to regular Ethernet? > 2.
