Tixy,
I just upgraded Sheevaplug (not the eSATA version) from Lenny to
Squeeze, seems all OK.

rebooted, uname -a now shows :
Linux sheevaplug2 2.6.32-5-kirkwood #1 Thu Aug 26 03:31:56 UTC 2010

So this detour: Lenny -> Squeeze apparently works.
Regards,
Bob

Trying to install Lenny didn't work either: "The installer cannot find a
suitable kernel package to install."
You probably didn't pass the right parameters when booting or used the
wrong image.
Thanks for making me look at the obvious :-)
I checked my log files and you are correct, the repository argument was
missing the double-quotes. This happened because I used echo from the
command line to send the arguments to the sheevaplug. (Pasting text in
puTTY seems to require a middle mouse button, which I don't have.)
I've now booted Lenny, changed sources.list to squeeze and updated
kernel and initrams-tools without problem; am busy updating everything
else now...
