Hi all, I'm on the list already.
I just got a report that the current daily build of the GTK installer
includes Speakup support, but after installation, the Speakup line
wasn't added to /etc/modules. I've asked for more details but so far
this is all I know. I currently don't have a way to check this. Can
someone verify if this is a bug in the Speakup support or something
else? I'm wondering if this is unique to his system or if he did
something wrong during the installation. I realize that the Squeeze
installer is still alpha quality, but if the system doesn't come up
talking, this is a bug and needs to be fixed.
Also, he says that he couldn't complete the installation because he
couldn't select an authentication method in pam. He says that gdm3
doesn't beep at the login screen and he was unable to login with
entering the username, Tab, the password and Enter. I don't currently
use gdm3 so I can't check this either.
If I get more details from him, I'll forward them here. If someone can
confirm these to be bugs, that would be appreciated. I suggested that
he should post here and report the bugs, but he doesn't want to expose
his email address. I currently don't have any additional information.
