I cannot downgrade to glibc <= 2.23 because the perl_5.24 package in Debian/m68k requires that as a minimum version. However, I just realized the big difference between the current build environment and the build environment from the last successful build is the enabling of -fPIE by dpkg by default. I'm building with -fno-PIE now and see if that helps. It did help with a crash I was seeing on sh4 in ghostscript. Adrian -- .''`.
