I looked shortly into exmacs21 and that's a bit more complicated. It could 
be a cache issue, so if someone tried to build it on 030 machine, it might 
help to confirm the suspicion.
I haven't really looked into gcj yet, but some preconditions (libgc and 
libffi) are working now, so it needs retesting. experimental has a newer 
version, although it doesn't has the latest libgc patch yet, so it doesn't 
work with 2.6 right now and I haven't tested it with 2.4 yet.
