OK I did a bit more than basic math. I have commited my version of the budget to the SVN repository as budget-gaudenz.ods. I made those changes to darst budget: - I added one platinum sponsor as this is now confirmed (also commited to budget-darst.ods) - I added 5'000 each for bar profits and bed upselling. - I adjusted the number of professional attendees to 60. The total amount of prof/corp fees is now similar to DC10. - Reduced the food costs by 0.8 as this is now agreed with Le Camp (see contract proposal). Darst and hug, if you agree with my changes, feel free to incorporate those into your budget and to remove my file from SVN to avoid confusion. I left all other numbers as they were. In my opinion this is still a quite conservative budget as it contains some expenses that could easily be reduced if needed. The possible reductions for a worst case budget are about the same amount as the incomes I increased. The following table shows how many participants we can afford with this budget: 90'000 CHF sponsorship / no travel sponsorship / 40 prof: 50 DebCamp, 183 DebConf 90'000 CHF sponsorship / 15k travel sponsorship / 40 prof: 50 DebCamp, 117 DebConf 90'000 CHF sponsorship / no travel sponsorship / 60 prof: 50 DebCamp, 236 DebConf 90'000 CHF sponsorship / 15k travel sponsorship / 60 prof: 50 DebCamp, 170 DebConf 110'000 CHF sponsorship / no travel sponsorship / 60 prof: 80 DebCamp, 300 DebConf 110'000 CHF sponsorship / 30k travel sponsorship / 60 prof: 50 DebCamp, 190 DebConf I encourage everyone to play with the budget spreadsheet if they want to see the effects for themselves or make alternative proposals. OTOH we currently after 1.5 weeks already have more than half of the total amount raised for DC12. -- Ever tried. Ever failed. No matter. Try again. Fail again.
