Way too much Javascript. Can we keep the main site usable WITHOUT any javascript? I know we already annoy people much by requiring JS for the registration, maybe we shouldn't increase the annoyance level. Also, search engines don't like too much of that either IIRC, so we make ourself bad there too. > http://valessiobrito.info/tmp/dc11/webwatch/ Instead of using Tabs, we could have links to such interesting stuff in the left area? And/Or a table with "Recommended places to visit" in the middle? > TAB1, is "What's up" -> > http://www.dc10.debconf.org/cgi-bin/announce.cgi (future, DC11.. > realtime events); Ok. > TAB2, is CGI:IRC on irc.debian.org #DebConf11 ..or one channel per > room. I don't think we should provide a web2irc gateway. They are so often misused for trolls, its not nice. How about simply providing a link to one of the known ones (or leaving it out at all and just telling people where to find us). > TAB3, is gadget auth with "identi.ca" and share or see tag #debconf11 identi.ca is the free stuff i think, so fine. The Facebook tab besides it is the non-free thing, so please dont. > TAB4, is Schedule, all days evento.. or "Show images on Flickr with > tag #debconf11" And flickr is bad too, so please let that go too. Also, the schedule in such a limited small window, *I* think that appears really bad. A link to the real one seems much better from readability. > TAB5, is "Credits and thanks", DebConf Video Team.. and others... Thats a nice idea, but well. I honestly like the current page better than the tabs, im sorry. The idea with the video is nice, especially during DC time - how many browsers do the html5 video tag by now? Lets see what others say. -- bye, Joerg If something goes wrong at the plant, blame the guy who can't speak English. _______________________________________________ Debconf-team mailing list Debconf-team@lists.debconf.org http://lists.debconf.org/mailman/listinfo/debconf-team
