I'd have thought that most people will be able to get the hang of "It's the weekend, so you get an extra X minutes in bed" Also, the days we're talking about are presumably Debian Day, and the last day of the conference. Debian Day seems like a good plan, as it's supposed to be for the public, so expecting them to get up early on a Sunday might be an error. On the last day, if people are confused, well they get to sip coffee for a little while. The only down-side I can see is that people might be confused into missing the first talk on Monday, although I doubt that most people will form a habit from just one day. We can always make an announcement, reminding people they need to be a bit earlier for the weekdays. Starting later on Debian Day would also be kinder for some people, depending on the state of their jet-lag (although it'll inflict some extra boredom on those that have been wide awake since 3a.m.) Cheers, Phil.
