The serious reply: While you should be fine, in a large city with reliable services, in South Africa, I think getting a Hep A vaccination is a good thing in general. I think South African citizens get these as babies. I had one in 2012 again, but only because I work on a sewage works. Most of the water-related diseases in the south of the continent is only hazardous on long term exposure without alternative clean drinking water, which is where the 'more than 3 months' thing comes in. Going hiking in remote parts, and similar activities (like, maybe attending a conference?) is still fine, you may just get a runny tummy for a day or two.
