As someone who is also concerned about this, I asked some of the local
team yesterday if/when/how much we should be tipping, and was told that
there was no expectation or custom of a tip for meals in the hotel
restaurant here.
There is an expectation of a roughly 10% or 15% tip when buying drinks,
at the hotel restaurant or in bars, though.
I'm sure i'm not repeating their words exactly, but that was the general
idea. Perhaps one of the localteam could weigh in on this and explain
more precisely?
