The roof of The Heights http://www.yelp.com/biz/the-heights-bar-and-grill-new-york-3 is nice when its cool outside Cuban Havana is the former West End, and has a bit of landmark caché Up closer to the corner of campus, Amseterdam Bar has a nice downstairs hangout spot - the snacks and cocktails are pricey, but ok beer selection at average prices. A little further downtown, I used to love The Underground Lounge, though lately it has taken a turn for the B&T.
