Ok, so we get IPv6. Whenever I try to connect to my machines (all with AAAA records), it takes ages. Wireshark shows a decent TCP handshake, but it then pauses for approximately 8s. I think it's the broken reverse-DNS configuration. If you dig +trace for the responsible NS, the last answer is 4.0.9.0.8.6.4.0.1.0.0.2.ip6.arpa. 86400 IN NS curta.cc.columbia.edu. ;; Received 125 bytes from 199.109.40.14#53(ns1.nysernet.org) in 107 ms However, curta.cc.columbia.edu is NXDOMAIN: a...@hex:~$ host curta.cc.columbia.edu Host curta.cc.columbia.edu not found: 3(NXDOMAIN) Someone needs to provide a valid DNS delegation or set a CNAME for curta to point to the real DNS.
