Fair point and thanks for the reply. However, I am not sure how to slowly morph the Step 23 tutorial into what I want to do. The different time integration approach is like swapping an engine from a car. You have to commit and hope the car starts at the end. My car will not turn over. I was hoping there was an obvious error in what I am doing since the solution being just zero is pretty stark.
I will keep on looking at this.
